OdysseyNH Family Center (OFC), Canterbury Founded in 1994, the OdysseyNH Family Center is a long-term residential treatment program for N.H. women who are pregnant, or are parenting young children (under the age of 5), and are struggling with substance abuse. The program forms a unique therapeutic community where women, living with their children, learn to embrace sobriety, overcome self-defeating behaviors, gain confidence in their parenting skills, and become productive members of society. The program utilizes an Evidenced-Based Practice of "Seeking Safety," which helps women recover from trauma, substance abuse, and other co-occurring disorders. The average length of stay varies between four and nine months to solidify their recovery and the strength and confidence to move forward with their goals.
